Daydream material

In 2011 I bought this picture on a market and I always wonder, who was this man, who took this picture and where was the picture taken? A wonderful object for a daydream on this rainy afternoon... I always imagine that this picture was taken in Italy and that it was during a date. She took this photo secretly to have a souvenir of their encounter. She had been in love with him for quite a while but didn't dare to tell him. And now he asked her to join him for a fishing trip... This is the romantic version I love;-)

A new adventure

D told me Picasa had a new feature concerning the borders of pictures and have got to say: I really love it. It makes the pictures softer in a way. I found out there were quite some other new options so I'm going to play with them asap. 
D & I had some really exciting ideas today so after some hard work tomorrow we'll know something more about the feasibility of our plans. Have got to say: if we're going to do it, it's going to be totally awesome, scary and hectic the coming weeks!

Nostalgia

Bonjour! It's been a hectic week and I'm really glad to get some rest during Easter. Hallelujah ;-) For today I just wanted to post two pics because I just keep thinking of France this week. I used to have lovely times in Normandy & Bretagne and perhaps it's time to go back for just a weekend or so. Good news concerning the Coeur Blonde newspaper-> we're really making progress now! Very glad with D's Photoshop skills;-) Enjoy your Easter holiday!

Texel ~ 2

Really had a wonderful stay@Texel. Lovely walks, no alarm clock set in the morning and ok, it was quite a quest to find a decent latte machiatto... But we succeeded and I was utmost surpised to find a delicious Italian/Texels restaurant. It's called 'De Kern' and is located at Den Burg. Was amazed by the taste of the dishes. The island Texel

As an extremely cute surprise H picked me up yesterday and took me to Texel. It's an island just above Noord Holland. You can reach it via a ferry and it's like a trip down memory lane. I used to come here each year with a part of my family. The funny thing is, the island always seems the same. Nothing appears to change: the shops, the people and the feeling of the island. So different than the city! Where there's always a buzz. I love the beach here though. And there are no shops open on sunday. As a citygirl I'm forced to stand still and give my mind some rest. In the city there's always something I need to to or somewhere I need to be. Not over here. So a nature's walk will do and I'll give H a glimpse of my past: my favorite part of the beach near 'de Cocksdorp', a visit to the harbour 'oudedchild' and a taste of my favorite fries ever! I'll embrace the silence of the island!
